Farmers’ Life Development Agency (FLDA) is a National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) established in 2011. Registered with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission and South Sudan NGO Forum, FLDA addresses the triple nexus of humanitarian, development, and peace needs in South Sudan. It designs programs based on vulnerability, conflict, and development analysis. Shifting to outcome-based planning, FLDA collaborates to achieve the nexus. It focuses on refugees, returnees, vulnerable communities, and IDPs, striving for people-centered, mult-sectoral solutions in 2 states with a staff of around 30, mainly from South Sudan, ensuring community-focused systems solutions.

Main objective
- The main objective of the organization is to undertake programs that alleviate all forms of structural poverty among the vulnerable-disadvantage groups, and communities in South Sudan. The organization does not seek to gain.
Specific objective
- Address all aspects of structural poverty alleviation among the disadvantage groups, in particular in developing countries (hereinafter referred to as the Program Countries and/or communities).
- Supporting relief and development nexus programs and project, in the country program and /or communities in the relevant organization thematic/sector that aren’t limited to:-
- Improve the water, sanitation and hygiene conditions of the most vulnerable population and protect from infection and disease that waterborne related in the targeted country programs.
- To ensure vulnerable households gain equitable access to safe water through rehabilitation and installation of water systems that meet family and livelihood needs.
- Increase the number of households with knowledge of necessary hygiene techniques and access to improved sanitation facilities.
- To help farmers build sustainable food security and livelihoods through a phased process of relief, recovery, and durable growth by promoting systemic change approach.
- To ensure that people especially women and youth have sustainable access, ownership and control over productive and commercial resources, and other productive assets for increased engagement in household economic productivity.
- To enhance community’s adaptive capacity to cope with the negative effects of climate change and shocks.
- To provide essential emergency and recovery nutrition services to reduce malnutrition-related mortality in under 5, pregnant and lactating women and other vulnerable groups.
- To deliver quality, life-saving, management of acute malnutrition for Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW).
- Provide access to programmes that prevent malnutrition and strengthen nutrition needs analysis and coordination and monitoring of the response.
- Enable vulnerable people to recover from crisis, seek solutions to displacement in respect of their rights, and build resilience to shocks and stresses.
- To ensure that people in crisis including refugees, internally displaced persons and host communities received quality, equity and timely humanitarian support in line with humanitarian and development nexus core standards.
- Reduce morbidity and mortality, protection threats and incidents for the most vulnerable populations. This will enable them recover from crisis, seek solutions to displacement in respect of their rights, and build resilience to shocks and stresses.
- Political, sociocultural and economic structures, systems, policies and practices protect women and girls in private, public and communities.
- Ensure that women and girls have increased voice and power and realize full participation in social, political and economic leadership and decision-making.
- To promote people-to-people solution—where social capital is used as a core driver for building resilience to conflict.
- Deploying experts, and volunteer in the relevant thematic/sectors the organization intervenes.
- To enter into any arrangement with any government’s authorities and other NGOs or Agencies that may seem conducive to the organization’s objects or any of them, and to obtain from such government ,authorities or Agencies any rights, privileges and concessions which the organization may think desirable to obtain.
- Undertaking targeted fund raising activities using the organizations’ brand names and/or trademarks;
- Conducting ordinary asset management of securities and liquidities.
- Creating, maintaining, promoting and having access to an organization which enables both the organization volunteers and those employed by the organization on a permanent basis, to contribute to the achievements of the organizations’ objects.
- To take such steps by personal or written appeals, public meetings or otherwise as may from time to time be deemed expedient for the purpose of procuring contributions to the funds of the organization in the form of donations, annual subscription or otherwise.
- To establish an endowment fund to receive grants, donations, gifts and other assistance in whatsoever form from South Sudan or from any other source or more of the objects of organization and to establish to no-profit making Foundations in any Country or countries for the purpose of receiving donations from private and corporate persons and or channeling the same to the Organization’s development operations.
- To promote or assist in the promotion of any organization or company or other body having objectives similar to those of the Organization;
- To invest the money in the organization not immediately required in any one or more of the modes of investment of trust moneys or in such other manner as the Management Board of the organization may from time to time determine.
